The Fundraising Team

Working closely with the newly appointed National Manager - Philanthropy & Development, who boasts an impressive background in growing successful teams and income, you will be in safe and supportive hands. The Heart Foundation’s vision for the next 3-5years is for significant growth. Your focus will be to enrich and expand upon their already diverse fundraising portfolio, increasing engagement internally and externally.

The Role

The Heart Foundation is seeking a Regular Giving expert to innovate and re-design this dedicated and important program at the Heart Foundation. It offers the perfect opportunity for the selected candidate to make a mark under the leadership of a highly skilled and internationally experienced Head of Individual Giving.

The Individual Giving Lead (Regular Giving) is responsible for the delivery of a Regular Giving Donor Fundraising Strategy to maximise donor acquisition and retention and develop a sustainable revenue stream. They will coordinate the effective delivery and day to day operations of the Regular Giving donation channels (including Digital, Telemarketing, Face to Face, DRTV) in line with the strategic plan, whilst striving for industry best practises.

Over the next 6-12 months the real focus is all about testing and learning, and so this role will suit someone not afraid to think outside the box and do things differently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve Regular Giving annual targets for revenue and retention of Regular Giving donors
  • Manage the execution of the Regular Giving donation channels (including Digital, Telemarketing, Face to Face, DRTV and others as the need arises)
  • Coordinate the holistic management of multiple elements of Regular Giving donation campaigns and internal/external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery
  • Develop and deliver campaign briefings and presentations to key stakeholders
  • Engage and manage relationships with external and internal agencies to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and budget and performance and spend are optimised
  • Provide training and support to external agencies and suppliers
  • Produce and deliver regular campaign reports
  • Support the optimisation and enhancement of the current processes and initiatives to maximise revenue across individual giving programs

Skills and Attributes

  • Knowledge of fundraising techniques and principles
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fundraising environment
  • Demonstrated experience of understanding and implementing a fundraising acquisition and retention strategy
  • Proven success in meeting revenue and donor acquisition/retention targets
  • Stakeholder and supplier management skills
  • Knowledge of analytics, data and databases for supporter acquisition, engagement and retention purposes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, perform under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally across teams.
  • Ability to show initiative
  • Proficiently in MS office suite (particularly Excel) and databases (Raiser Edge is an advantage)
