About the Role

The Grants and Funding Manager will have oversight of existing contract and funding agreements, identify future opportunities and lead system and process optimisation in regard to grants and funding.

  • Provide framework around proposal opportunities, assessing alignment to strategy and funding suitability
  • Manage the end-to-end funding application process alongside internal stakeholders, including proposal writing, budget alignment, submission and follow up
  • Manage the approval of funding submissions including contract, setting up acquittal and payment schedules
  • Provide oversight and framework around the implementation of new funding agreements, monitoring KPIs, reviews and closure of funding agreements
  • Develop and monitor funding reporting schedule, ensuring submissions of funding reports are on time and accurate
  • Identify growth opportunities - maintain a pipeline of funding development opportunities (government, corporate, philanthropic and partnerships), allowing time for completion of submissions of quality applications

Key attributes needed for the role

You will have strong project/time management skills, and be able to effectively collaborate, negotiate, and build trusting relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Proven experience in a similar role, maintaining funding compliance and outputs
  • High-level written and verbal communications skills – ability to tailor communications to the required audience, communicate in a clear, articulate, and compelling manner
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite as well as savviness in using online templates, and various portals for submissions
  • A passion for improving efficiencies, and optimisation of systems to streamline processes
  • Successful candidates must be able to obtain a clean national criminal history record check and the relevant state-based working with vulnerable persons permit prior to employment
