Role Summary:

As the Digital Engagement Manager, you will have responsibility for both the strategic and operational aspects of the Marketing and Communications team, leading through the line campaigns from strategy to execution.

There is no better time to be joining the team as they work to launch some fantastic projects over the next 12 months including but not limited to, an entire re-brand, development of an app and a new exciting digital acquisition program.

This is a leadership role managing 3 digital experts and works within a broader team of 13.

About You:

You will be a digital expert, someone who is innovative, out of the boxer thinker, but also extremely analytical, using data to drive important decisions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic planning, exceptional project management skills and strong stakeholder management experience.

It is highly desirable to have previous experience in people management and fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the digital strategy, in collaboration with the Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications
  • Oversee and develop rich content pipeline for multiple channels but specifically web, EDM, and social media
  • Plan, develop and deliver a social media content strategy that will drive engagement and growth
  • Ensure that data and analytics are used to inform future strategic digital direction
  • Oversee the development of an editorial calendar and content plan to maximise digital media coverage and social media reach
  • Lead coordination of all advertising, digital and social media activity, fundraising communications, printed and published collateral delivered in support of marketing campaigns and appeals
  • Ensure maximum fundraising impact through the leadership of marketing campaigns and appeals
  • Further grow and develop the organisation’s online presence with a focus on the social media strategy, content strategy and acquisition strategy to increase the donor pool and maximise income generation opportunities
  • Manage strategies, budgets, timing and measurement of marketing campaigns and fundraising appeals
  • Support, coach and develop the team to achieve desired KPI’s

Skills & Attributes:

  • Prior experience in a digital marketing and communications management role
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in a relevant discipline such as digital marketing, fundraising, business, advertising, marketing or communications
  • Successful track record in executing digital, social, advertising and content campaigns
  • High proficiency in managing websites, digital platforms and social media channels
  • Strategic, target and data driven decision maker with reporting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Strong writing skills, including copywriting for varied audience and channels
  • Exceptionally interpersonal skills, including ability to negotiate and develop trusted working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, manage and mentor a team
