The Role

NRCF is in an exciting phase of growth and is seeking an experienced and passionate Development and Engagement Manager to join the team. Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee the Marketing and Design contractors and work closely with the Operations Team and Board to realise NRCF’s strategic plan. Your focus will be to continue to build and grow the donor community to assist the foundation to reach its full potential.

You will have a strong track record of business development and leadership in the growth of donor engagement preferably in the not-for-profit sector. You will have exceptional relationship management and people management skills as well as previous experience in business development. This role is key in enabling the foundation to make a bigger impact within the local community. Importantly you will have a passion for helping people and working in a community, for the community.

Key Accountabilities

• Identify new fund development opportunities – strategic partnerships, sponsorships, grants, fundraising and donor engagement
• Develop and implement donor engagement strategies
• Identify and develop new business development opportunities for NRCF
• Actively grow the donor and funding base through donor acquisition, engagement and retention
• Manage the development of sub-funds and communications with their donors and stakeholders, ensuring that donors’ interests are aligned with NRCF Sub Funds and Grant Programs.
• Oversee the Marketing & Design contractors in the design and delivery of all advocacy and fundraising campaigns and ensure monitoring of performance
• Coordinate the representation of the Foundation at internal and external events including conferences and exhibitions promoting NRCF work to the public

Skills & Attributes

• Proven experience of working within the philanthropic sector and developing key relationships
• Experience of developing and growing a donor, funding or member base
• Exceptional relationship building with individuals and business at all levels and across various sectors, particularly within the Not-For-Profit (NFP) sector and Non-Government (NGO) sector
• Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
• Be team focused and work collaboratively to achieve targets
• Exceptional communication and people skills
• Detail orientated with excellent time management and the ability to work to deadlines
• Experience of using CRMs, Digital Marketing applications (e.g. Mailchimp), Microsoft Office and the ability to pick up new systems and processes
• Knowledge and experience of managing website content using website builders e.g WordPress
• Ability to travel and attend after hours functions/events when required
