About the Organisation:

The NORTH Foundation is the registered charity for the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) and serves as the fundraising partner for Royal North Shore, Ryde and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai hospitals and the Kolling Institute of Medical Research. It’s mission is to improve community well-being by supporting innovative health research and the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Role Summary

The Database Manager will ensure the Foundation is setup to effectively manage and use its data to effectively deliver on world class donor/supporter experiences. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to hone and expand their skills across diverse areas, including Salesforce administration, business analysis, CRM management and fundraising support.

The NORTH Foundation have recently implemented a new Salesforce CRM and are currently in user testing stage which makes it an exciting time to join the organisation. You will be leading the delivery and implementation of the Foundation’s Salesforce CRM project alongside their project partners and be responsible for the development of the Fundraising portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing best practice donor/supporter journeys
  • Leading new integrations with Salesforce, e.g., Pardot, XERO and other marketing and communication automation platforms
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and implementation of new system enhancements
  • Providing accurate and timely weekly and monthly reports to support fundraising and marketing activities
  • Partner with the Director of Philanthropy and other internal stakeholders to proactively drive analytical thinking and make recommendations
  • Maintaining data management and integrity across the Foundation’s CRM
  • Utilising donor/supporter data and reporting using CRM and data analytics tools to identify and implement trends and insights
  • Establishing and implementing effective research methods and developing research resources to identify individuals, trusts and foundations, corporate and other supporters

Essential Criteria and Success factors of the role

  • Experience working in a not-for-profit or philanthropic organisation
  • Experience in Salesforce CRM implementation, management, and marketing automation
  • Ability to practice discretion in managing, assessing, and distributing confidential data
  • Ability to build custom objects, formula fields workflows, and custom views
  • Current Salesforce Certification
  • Ability to effectively communicate to colleagues in a non-technical manner
