About The Role

The Supporter Insights and Analytics Manager reports to the Head of Supporter Experience and leads a team of two.

You will oversee a group of analysts as they create dashboards and live reporting for the department, senior management, Board, and the entire organisation. Most importantly, this position will oversee how these reports are turned into useful insights, collaborating closely with the fundraising leadership team to raise funds and increase supporter engagement.

The Customer Insights and Analytics Manager plays a crucial role in fostering an organisational culture of data-driven decision-making. You will manage the development, upkeep, and improvement of the usage of the Data Warehouse and all analytical tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, put into action, and oversee Oxfam Australia's strategy to gather and utilise supporter inputs
  • Develop and execute Oxfam Australia's supporter and market insights architecture inside the company to enable sophisticated analytics across audience segmentation, supporter experience, supporter voice, and products for fundraising and public engagement
  • Establish all operational, revenue, supporter experience, and performance reporting for fundraising and resource growth, and transform results into practical insights that may guide company growth in fundraising and wider public involvement, such as public advocacy campaigns
  • Develop the Supporter Insights Team as a supporter and market “insights centre" by promoting collaboration with the company and the production of centralised, accessible dashboards and reports that facilitate improved decision-making

Essential Requirements

You will have a passion for process improvement and proven experience driving change and influencing behaviours internally, as well as:

  • Experience in analysing consumer/customer data to drive business insights
  • Advanced Excel skills as well as advanced proficiency in SQL, and managing cloud-based data warehouses – experience with Salesforce and Snowflake highly regarded but not a must-have
  • Experience working with data visualisation tools (such as Tableau), and presenting insights to business users
  • You will be ambitious, driven by innovation and continuous improvement
  • NFP sector experience is not essential, but a passion and interest in joining the sector is a must-have
