One of Australia’s leading research and teaching institutions is looking to appoint an ambitious and strategic senior Fundraiser. Use your expertise to establish and implement effective large scale multi-channel appeals from end to end within a leading higher education establishment.

We seek an ambitious and strategic senior Fundraiser to take responsibility for developing and executing the annual calendar of multi-channel appeals and community giving activity with a focus on driving digital activity. This role is perfect for a Fundraiser with the ambition, confidence, and experience to grow, develop and lead this Fundraising program aimed at alumni, staff, and other supporters.

Role Summary:

Responsible for the development and delivery of successful appeals and community giving programs, this role works to increase both numbers of donors, as well as the amount of revenue raised. You will work closely with the broad support of the leadership team and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to drive the growth and success of the appeals and community giving programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to the organisation on a range of different fundraising channels
  • Work closely with the Campaigns Team and the Digital team to help develop the strategy behind all Direct Marketing appeal concepts and approaches
  • Gather relevant donor insights particular to appeals and provide strategic and tactical recommendations on the data planning, ask strategy and delivery of appeals and associated communications
  • Effectively liaise and build relationships with internal stakeholders, driving engagement with staff by demonstrating the need for and purpose of the appeal and community-giving programs
  • Assist with identifying process improvements and managing the relationship with the contracted third-party marketing agencies
  • Program management of end-to-end appeals through multiple channels
  • Manage post-campaign evaluation
  • Identify new Direct Marketing channels to increase Single Giving activity
  • Line manage one staff member and provide effective learning and development opportunities to your team

Skills & Attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end project management and delivery of multiple appeals
  • Experience working closely with creative agencies and mail houses to execute campaigns
  • Excellent relationship management skills with a proven ability to drive engagement amongst internal staff
  • Highly comfortable working with data including targeting, segmentation, testing, and analysis
  • Demonstrated revenue growth working with across Individual Giving activity
  • Proven budget and reporting management skills
  • Highly data-driven and results-oriented
