Beacon Foundation (“Beacon”) seeks to better support young people to successfully transition from education to meaningful employment. These experiences support young people to be ready for the future world of work.

We are seeking a passionate and adaptive VPPP Lead to successfully deliver Beacon Foundation’s Vocational Placement Pilot Program (“VPPP”) in Department of Education Schools.

About the role:

This is a newly created role in which you will work closely with North and North West Tasmanian schools and key partners to build a shared and value-added VET placement coordination process. Through Project learnings, you will lead the development of a model that effectively utilises an intermediary organisation in the administration of vocational placements in Tasmania. Utilising your excellent communication, problem solving and relationship management capabilities and working with Beacon’s Tasmania Operations team, you will liaise with key project stakeholders in education and industry to develop strategies for the project’s successful implementation.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Experience in a similar role with relevant qualification
  • High level interpersonal skills and cooperative work practices and the ability to operate effectively as part of a positive and cohesive team
  • Ability to prioritise and work efficiently and accurately in times of high pressure
  • Satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • A mobile phone is required (you will receive an allowance in addition to the salary)
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle (always insured and maintained to a road worthy standard)

Based in North and North West Tasmania, this position is a fixed-term full-time contract until 31 December 2021 with five weeks’ annual leave, employee assistance program and generous salary packaging under our PBI status in addition to training and a competitive market salary.
