Beacon Foundation (“Beacon”) is recruiting for a Site Lead – Collective ed. to work with Bayview Secondary College, to lead the Collective ed. collaboration with the school community.

About the role:

Helping more young people to finish Year 12 is the goal of Beacon’s Collective ed. project. This project is a unique platform to lead a place-based change initiative, centred on school engagement and pathways post-school.

In this role you will lead innovation within key priorities of Year 12 attainment for Bayview Secondary College and facilitate collaborative team to work toward Collective ed.’s goals and focus areas to support young people in the area to thrive. You’ll oversee Collective ed. initiatives within the school and broader community, and contribute to learning, evaluation and wider influencing across the Collective ed. collaboration.

Within your community you’ll have a small team of dedicated staff as well as broader school leadership support. You’ll also have access to specialists in community mobilisation, learning and evaluation, communications, strategy and innovation who will work with you to achieve shared goals.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Experience in a similar role with relevant qualification
• Demonstrated experience working in and responding to complex environments
• Proven experience to action strategic communications and stakeholder engagement
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a range of community stakeholders
• Knowledge regarding place-based approaches to system change; and
• the passion to bring a real change for young Tasmanians by keeping young people central to decision making.

Based at Bayview Secondary College, this position is a fixed-term full-time contract until 31 December 2021 with five weeks’ annual leave, employee assistance program and generous salary packaging under our PBI status in addition to training and a competitive market salary.
