Beacon Foundation (Beacon) is currently recruiting for a Manager – Collective ed. to jointly oversee the management of Collective ed. activity across six Tasmanian communities, including learning and evaluation for the initiative.

About the role:

Helping more young people to finish Year 12 is the goal of Beacon’s Collective ed. project. This project is a unique platform to lead a place-based change initiative, centred on school engagement and pathways post-school.

This is a newly created role in which you will be responsible for joint management and leadership of the six Collective ed. Site Leads and oversight of Learning & Evaluation within Collective ed. You will lead strategic partnership activity as linked to the purpose of the role and undertake other duties within this level as directed by the Chief Operating Officer.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Tertiary degree in relevant field
  • 5 years’ experience of managing operations to a high standard across a breadth of functions
  • Experience in managing complex projects and operations
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage working groups ensuring the agreed objectives are achieved in the agreed timeframe
  • Proven experience to action strategic communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a range of community stakeholders
  • Knowledge regarding collective impact approach to system change; and
  • The passion to bring a real change for young Tasmanians by keeping young people central to decision making.

Based in Hobart, this position is a fixed-term full-time contract until 30 June 2022 with five weeks’ annual leave, employee assistance program and generous salary packaging under our PBI status in addition to training and a competitive market salary.
