We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Learning and Evaluation Project Officer to support the Collective ed. Learning and Evaluation team to generate evaluation and learning to inform improved practice, informed decision making and evidence-based strategy.

About the role:

Helping more young people to finish Year 12 is the goal of Beacon’s Collective ed, project. This project is a unique platform to lead a place-based change initiative, centred on school engagement and pathways post-school.

In this role you will work closely with the Collective ed. team and statewide support team to monitor and evaluate the school-based and community-based initiatives that Collective ed. helps to implement and contribute to the gathering, interpretation and sharing of data in a way that makes sense to the community and enables a nimble response across the community network. You will also be responsible for preparing correspondence, newsletters, reports and presentations as required based on extensive literature and data collation and review.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field
  • Experience in research, evaluation and/or learning and development
  • Experience working collaboratively with communities and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities and plan workload to meet objectives
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
  • Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Current unrestricted Driver’s license
  • National Police Check and Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Check (employment level)
  • Experience working with complex community issues and knowledge of the Collective Impact approach is preferable

This is a part time position on a fixed term contract until 31 December 2021 with five weeks’ annual leave, employee assistance program and generous salary packaging under our PBI status in addition to training and a competitive market salary.
