Executive Assistant and Corporate Services Coordinator

Beacon Foundation

Are you looking for a new career opportunity, one that is making a real difference in the lives of young people. In your current job are you doing the same thing every day? Would you perhaps be interested in a “career” instead of a “job”? Yes? Ok, well let’s see if we can help, we may have just what you are looking for, and hopefully, you have just what we are looking for.

Have you heard about us?

Beacon Foundation (“Beacon”) seeks to better support young people to successfully transition from education to meaningful employment. We do this by bringing together business, industry, schools and the wider community to build real life education experiences. These experiences support young people to be ready for the future world of work.

Sounds good, doesn’t it? Sounds like the type of place where you can make a real impact to society and give you all the “good feels”, the type of place where you can be proud to tell people where you work. Perhaps this is the change you didn’t know you wanted.

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Executive Assistant and Corporate Services Coordinator to join our team at our Head Office in Hobart. This is the type of role that can grow with the successful candidate, one that will make you leave at the end of each day feeling like you have accomplished something great. And you will get to work with a bunch of great people too (trust us, we really are!).

About the role:

In this role you will work closely with the CFO to support a range of corporate functions including Human Resources, Finance, Information & Communications Technology (ICT) as well as general office administration. In addition, this role is responsible for providing high level administrative support to the CEO and broader Executive Team to ensure Beacon Foundation is highly functional and responsive.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Excellent client centric interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain collaborative and productive relationships.
  • A high level of attention to detail with strong written ability for clear and concise email communications and reports.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Beacon Foundation’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised and systematic but flexible and adaptable to meet competing priorities and challenging situations.
  • A go-getter focused on meeting deliverables who can self-motivate and work independently, whilst also contribute to a team.
  • Enthusiastic to take on new tasks as they arise and assist wherever required.

But most importantly:

  • You must have a passion for creating better opportunities for young Australians.

This position is permanent full-time with five weeks’ annual leave, employee assistance program and generous salary packaging under our PBI status in addition to training and a competitive market salary.
