About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to support to a digital mental health program aimed at reducing depression and anxiety in adults. This role will be involved in design, development and evaluation of a novel intervention to ensure it is effective, sustainable and scalable for use in a range of clinical settings. You will work closely with the Senior Clinical Research Manager, whilst also collaborating with the broader project and Clinical Research teams. This blended role would suit someone with both project officer and research experience looking to expand their research and project management experience while contributing to a rewarding research project.

Key Duties:

  • Assist with preparation and monitoring of project plans, budgets and timelines
  • Support consultation with people with Lived Experience and Health Professionals
  • Contribute to the creation and review of program content and design
  • Assist with IT tasks such as user-testing prior to launch of program
  • Assist with knowledge translation and marketing activities
  • Perform other project management and administrative tasks as required
  • Provide support to the research design process including preparation of research protocols, conducting comprehensive reviews.
  • Support the preparation of ethics applications, amendments and queries from the ethics board
  • Maintain archive of ethics forms and documents
  • Undertake and prepare literature reviews for reports and research publications
  • Assist with data management, coding and analysis
  • Contribute to the preparation of the study in a range of academic and nonacademic outputs including manuscripts and presentations
  • Assist with preparation of grant applications and submissions
  • Perform other general research and administrative tasks as required
  • Assist with organisation and running of internal and external stakeholder meetings
  • Assist with preparation of presentations and reports for stakeholder meetings
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide progress reports, funding reports and disseminate project findings
  • Facilitate communication and manage relations between the project team, other areas of the organisation and key stakeholder groups

About You:

The successful candidate will have the following:

Essential Criteria

  1. An honours degree in psychology, public health or a related discipline
  2. 3+ years of demonstrated experience working on research studies, including participant recruitment and data collection, ethics applications, and preparation of reports and/or other publications in a mental health research setting
  3. Demonstrated experience undertaking literature searches and reviews
  4. Experience in project management and an understanding of project methodology, processes, and procedures
  5. Strong organisational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, demonstrate effective time management and adapt to changing priorities to ensure outcomes are delivered
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated strong capability of preparing research and project reports
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to build collaborative relationships
  8. The capacity to work both independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and initiative to complete own project tasks with minimal supervision
    Demonstrative ability of building and maintaining productive working relationships 10. A knowledge of EEO principles and OH&S responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant OH&S training.

Desirable Criteria

  1. Registration as a psychologist
  2. Post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline
  3. Experience in not for profit sector
  4. Experience in mental health service field or digital mental health field
