About the Role:

This role will provide project management and research assistance contributing to knowledge translation for The Sydney Partnership for Health, Education, Research and Enterprise (SPHERE). SPHERE is a collaborative network of universities, hospitals, research institutes, community and primary care centres across Sydney, working together to create a world-leading health system in Australia. Key Duties:

  • Provide research and program support to the KT Lead including, but not limited to, preparation of research protocols, undertaking literature searches and conducting comprehensive reviews of KT interventions and tools, preparation of ethics applications and reports.
  • Support the development of Knowledge Translation and assist in building KT capacity within SPHERE.
  • Work in collaboration with SPHERE KT Platform’s artists-in-residence.
  • Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant and funding applications; manage funded projects and partner agreements as required.
  • Contribute to formulation and implementation of KT strategic, operational and business plans, budgets and procedures.
  • Identify, establish and maintain relationships with relevant internal stakeholders (research, clinic, corporate) and external professional partner and client organisations.
  • Promote SPHERE KT through presentations to partners, attendance at networking events, conferences and related events
  • Provide high-level support for the planning and preparation of manuscripts and presentations.
  • Assist in reporting on KT activities for the Board, Annual Report and external funding bodies.
  • Assist with the coordination of all SPHERE KT related research meetings and events.

About You:

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Qualification in sociology, anthropology, psychology, public health, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in population or public health research, including study design, data analysis and interpretation and report writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated strong capability of writing skills for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to build collaborative relationships.
