About the Role:

The .NET Developer will work as a member of a small team developing leading applications in the e-health space. This role will liaise with researchers and assist in the translation of cutting-edge research into innovative applications for use in the early intervention of mood disorders and suicidality. The successful applicant will bring energy and enthusiasm and some development experience to the team

Key Duties:

  • Involved in all aspects of an application lifecycle from system architecture, database design, coding, error logging, debugging, scalability, code review, environment configuration, deployments and testing.
  • Implement change requests and bug fixes.
  • Prototyping new concepts and technical integrations with 3rd party systems.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate test cases to ensure product integrity.
  • Design interface mock-up and develop responsive user interfaces.
  • Providing technical documentation to third party development teams under the supervision of the .Net Team manager.
  • Communicate with the offshore development teams regularly to check on progress/updates.
  • Testing and deployment of completed works to the relevant hosting environments.
  • Provide support to the many applications owned by the institute.
  • Generate reports by running SQL queries on application databases.

About You:

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, experience building web applications, as well as good knowledge of SQL.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering.
  • Experience in object-oriented programming.
  • 2+ years’ experience in front-end technologies such as AngularJS, HTML, CSS and JavaScript (jQuery).
  • 2+ years’ full stack experience using the .NET framework (ASP.NET WebForms (C#) and MVC.NET with Angular JS).
  • 2+ years’ experience in MSSQL.
  • Highly proficient in hand-coding responsive HTML, CSS and JavaScript from raw designs provided in photoshop, illustrator or other equivalent tools.
  • Ability to reference existing design style guides to create mark-up for pages that don’t have designs.
  • Commercial experience in TDD (Test Driven Development)
  • Experience working in a CI (Continuous Integration) environment e.g. TeamCity.
  • Great communication and documentation skills are essential
