You will be able to work and learn alongside family therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, nurses and other professionals. Envision yourself as the expert from the ECEC field, engaged and involved in this team to provide a wraparound service for children and their families.

Ginninderra Early Childhood Centre is a small 45 place centre positioned in the heart of Belconnen. We are seeking a degree or diploma qualified educator to join our team as assistant director and infant team leader. Our infant room is strongly influenced by RIE and Emmi Pikler’s approaches to education and care.

Educators believe in the power of a curriculum that is based on building kind and respectful relationships with infants. We focus on tender care moments (rest time, meal times and nappy changes), building an environment that allows for free movement and uninterrupted play, and encourage a naturally paced motor development. ​

Essential qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in an approved (ACECQA) Education and Care Qualification.
  • Current approved First aid training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Regulations including approved anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

BCS requirements

  • Employees are required to hold a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration and have this with them at all times whilst employed by BCS.
  • Employees are also required to undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by BCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise BCS of any convictions that may affect their eligibility to work or performing the inherent requirements of their position.
  • BCS may require the incumbent to undertake employment screening such as a medical assessment, functional assessment or psychological profile prior to an offer of employment and/or as determined by BCS during employment.
