About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Intake and Program Assistant to provide administrative support to the Resilience Program and assist with intake and group allocation.
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, you will work with a multi-skilled team of artists, therapists and youth workers. Sound knowledge in program design and delivery when working with children and young people experiencing or at risk of experiencing mental illness will set you apart from others.
About the Bungee Youth Resilience Program
Bungee is an inclusive resilience building program that promotes emotional well-being through the arts.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Respond to referrals and requests for information as appropriate.
- Assist with intake process, including maintenance of spreadsheet.
- Assist with implementation of Bungee programs.
- Assist with facilitating Bungee programs.
- Liaise with schools, parents, community organisation and other agencies as required.
- Assist in creating documents suitable for program marketing.
- Effectively liaise with individuals and families who access the program.
What we need form you:
- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrate experience working with children and young people who may be experiencing or at risk of experiencing mental illness.
- Sound understanding of short term and early intervention.
- Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support to similar programs.
- Demonstrated ability to focus on skills development and abilities of individual participants in a manner that enhances their independence
- Sound understanding of child development from five to eighteen years.
- High level organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Upholds the principles of cultural diversity.
- Employees are required to hold a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration and have this with them at all times whilst employed by BCS.
- Employees are also required to undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by BCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise BCS of any convictions that may affect their eligibility to work or performing the inherent requirements of their position.
- BCS may require the incumbent to undertake employment screening such as a medical assessment, functional assessment or psychological profile prior to an offer of employment and/or as determined by BCS during employment.
