An exciting opportunity exists up until June 2021 for an experienced and highly motivated person to design and deliver programs alongside community members to enable better educational and employment outcomes. The position is based at Brimbank Learning Futures (BLF) in the heart of Sunshine. BLF provides a unique engagement and outreach model that empowers community members to pursue their own self-determined pathways to education and employment.  

The successful candidate will join a great team and:

  • Co-design learning programs with community groups
  • Design and deliver programs aimed at empowering individuals in their vocational journeys
  • Manage the day to day operations of Brimbank Learning Futures
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide training and career information and advice
  • Support the implementation of the Brimbank Youth Jobs Strategy
  • Attract new learners to Brimbank Learning Futures

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience in co-design and delivery of learning programs for vulnerable groups
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and manage strategic partnerships
  • Experience in providing career and learning pathways information and advice
  • Experience in delivering training to groups or individuals
  • Experience in supporting the day to day operations of a community facility
  • Demonstrated knowledge of culturally responsive, community development practice
  • Digital skills that enable efficient delivery of daily tasks such as record management, project planning, creating presentations and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • University degree in an area appropriate to the position e.g. community development, teaching or equivalent substantial experience may be considered
