Board Directors (voluntary)

Bondi Beach Cottage

The BBC Board is looking to add new skills to assist it in enhancing its funding base, governance, and quality service delivery. These positions are voluntary.

About BBC

BBC was established over 40 years ago and is a community organisation based in Bondi. Our services include an occasional childcare service licenced for up to 20 children a day, and a family support service with a focus on domestic and family violence casework and counselling. We receive support and funding from local, state and federal governments as well as other sources of income.

About the roles

BBC is seeking to recruit Board members who can support the organisation to realise its vision and mission. The people we are seeking will have an understanding of the drivers of domestic violence and have a passion for working with the community in an empowering and effective way.

Ideally, the new Directors will bring to the board skills in working with philanthropic organisations and be familiar with the governance requirements in the “for purpose” environment.

New Directors may bring experience in any one or more of the following areas:

  • childcare services
  • community services, particularly domestic violence support
  • stakeholder management, including government relations
  • marketing and community engagement
  • financial management in the for-purpose sector

The Board meets monthly, and directors are expected to be able to commit to attend monthly meetings of the Board in person in Bondi.

Enquiries can also be directed to the Chair at [email protected], using the subject line: Board Directors enquiry via EthicalJobs.
