Our Residential home (Faversham House) located in Canterbury is currently searching for talented, committed and experienced,Quality and Training Coordinator to join the BASScare team.

Faversham House is a Residential Aged Care Service located in the leafy suburb of Canterbury. We pride ourselves in providing safety, dignity, comfort, care and companionship to our residents. Our residents, families, representatives and friends feel assured, knowing that our staff are individually selected and are qualified and supported.

About you

  • You have contemporary knowledge of the legislation relevant to Residential Aged Care
  • You have previous experience in this or a similar role
  • You have a passion for and the ability to drive continuous improvement for all service areas
  • You have the knowledge and ability to ensure all relevant documentation is maintained/updated
  • You are committed to person centred care
  • You are an effective communicator, you have great interpersonal skills and have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • You are a proactive individual who can work independently, identifying and taking ownership and actions to ensure compliance and maintenance of Accreditation.
  • You are enthusiastic and take pride in delivering the best possible service to our residents
  • You are well organised and can manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and expected outcomes

Job Role

  • To support and assist the Residential Manager and Clinical Care Coordinators in the areas of Quality / Continuous Improvement, Accreditation and Training
  • To support and assist the Managers / Supervisors in areas of Clinical training
  • To support and promote a culture of continuous improvement for all care & services delivered to Faversham House residents
  • To support and promote a culture of continuous learning and development for all BASScare staff
  • Maintain associated documentation and evidence including policy and procedures, meeting agendas and minutes etc to support compliance with the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
  • Coordinate, assist with and document continuous improvement activities at Faversham House including, auditing, analysis and reporting, continuous quality improvement activities including projects, compliance with the Aged Care Standards
  • Plan, coordinate, assist with and document clinical training activities across BASScare including, department/unit/role specific training, annual needs analysis, support new employees and employees under performance review

Hours of Work

3 days per week, Tuesday to Thursday

9:00 – 5:00 pm

Essentials

  • Current police check
  • 2 years working experience in residential Aged Care
  • Registered with APHRA – RN /EEN
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ACFI – R/N / EEN
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation process
  • Dementia specific experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of training staff
  • Previous experience with electronic clinical record (iCare)
  • The right to work in Australia
