The Barwon Health Foundation was established in 2002 to assist Barwon Health in achieving world class health standards through fundraising and philanthropy. The Foundation exists to create and nurture philanthropic partnerships between the community and Barwon Health. It is the vehicle through which individuals, community groups and organisations can contribute to Barwon Health's further development as a specialist provider of acute, rehabilitation, aged and community health care, providing the community with access to a comprehensive range of health care services.

The Barwon Health Foundation is seeking to appoint a Digital Fundraising Manger responsible for the creation and growth of online donations, virtual fundraising campaigns, website maintenance, digital engagement and communications to all existing and prospective donors, along with Barwon Health staff and volunteers.

Reporting to the Executive Director, key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Create digital fundraising appeals (matching appeal, tax appeal, Christmas appeal) to compliment direct mail campaigns.
  • Interview, capture, produce and share patient, volunteer and staff stories to motivate others to support the work of Barwon Health.
  • Responsible for the content creation and management for all Foundation social media platforms, inclusive of patient and donor stories, live videos and photos, and paid ads.
  • Create a monthly staff and community newsletters with targeted communications.
  • Responsible for the creation of content for targeted EDM campaigns, through to execution.
  • Responsible for ensuring the BHF website is accurate and up to date, identifying trends and development opportunities.
  • Pull data reports for digital fundraising or communication campaigns.
  • Support the implementation and creation of paid digital advertising strategies and content creation across video, social, search and display platforms.
  • Coordinate and create digital calendars, detailing daily online content and annual fundraising campaigns.
  • Provide advice to the team on digital content on all activities and portfolios.
  • The recruitment and relationship management of our social media and community ambassadors.
  • Perform all other duties as directed to maximise flexibility and effectiveness.

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate;

  • Formal qualification communications, marketing or journalism.
  • Fundraising specialist experience (strictly 3+ years’ experience).
  • Digital communications and digital campaign experience (strictly 3+ years’ experience).
  • Experience managing digital fundraising campaigns.
  • Extensive experience managing multiple platforms of social media, marketing and communications experience and experience in managing events.
  • Graphic design experience (advantage)
  • Experience working within a large scale health charity (advantage)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in donor relations and or customer service.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work with service providers, contractors and volunteers.
  • Advanced ability in the use of Microsoft Office, desktop publishing, Internet, and email technology.
  • An ability to work outside standard office hours on occasion.
  • A Victorian Drivers Licence.
