About the role

As our Tumbelin Manager, you will lead a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to deliver the Tumbelin programs. Tumbelin Farm is South Australia’s first youth residential nature-based rehabilitation program which has transformed dozens of young lives since opening its doors in 2020. Tumbelin Outreach is an AOD early intervention program working with young people aged 13 – 18 within an adventure therapy framework to overcome their challenges with drug and alcohol use.

In this strategic role, you will have the overall responsibility for the Tumbelin Farm and Outreach programs, ensuring that they achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

Your key duties will be to:

  • Oversee the effective delivery of the Tumbelin Farm and Tumbelin Outreach programs
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary team, including Case Managers, AOD Counsellor, Adventure Therapy Practitioners, Farm Supervisors and House Parents
  • Ensure compliance and outcomes across the Financial and Contractual obligations of the Tumbelin programs, including meeting KPIs, delivering programs and services within budget, establishing long term business models and ensuring the Tumbelin Farm micro-enterprises are financially viable
  • Champion the implementation of our Tapa marnirni-apinthi Practice Framework, by driving a culture of restorative practice and therapeutic client centred care
  • Use Regenerative Agriculture as a therapeutic tool within a journey of recovery

About you:

You will be a passionate and engaging leader, with strong people skills. With high levels of emotional intelligence and demonstrated ability to work with, and guide, our clients who are in our program, you will be relatable, friendly and welcoming.

You will have extensive experience in leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team, as well as the ability to build and develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

You are outcome focused, with a strategic mindset and you are someone who has a deep understanding of the complex needs and behaviours that our clients have, including the comorbid nature of AOD addiction, mental health and trauma.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team, ensuring exceptional outcomes and KPIs are met
  • A comprehensive knowledge of adventure based / experiential learning principles and their relationship with healing and overcoming barriers
  • The ability to relate well with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders

Specific Requirements:

  • Full unrestricted South Australia Driver’s Licence 
  • DHS Child-Related Employment Screening or Working With Children check

  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours may be required 
  • Use of own vehicle
  • To be considered for employment in this role you must have an up-to-date Covid 19 Vaccination status or be able to provide an appropriate medical exemption.
