The RAP also seeks to demonstrate the organisation’s commitment to providing welcoming, culturally safe, respectful places, and opportunities for all current and future Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, volunteers and clients to plan, act and learn together.

The Role –FTE 0.6 Fixed term contract till 30 June 2022

The Aboriginal Workforce Business Partner will collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure BCSA initiatives, programs, products and services meet the needs of our Aboriginal workforce. Reporting to Manager, Organisational Capability this role will see you:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of an organisational Aboriginal workforce framework, associated policies, procedures, tools and guidelines
  • Providing expert insight to internal stakeholders to ensure cultural alignment of Aboriginal People and Culture initiatives including, recruitment and training practices
  • Developing a comprehensive orientation program for Aboriginal employees, and Indigenous awareness training for non-Indigenous employees

The Person

To be successful in this role you will have proven abilities to engage with Government and NGO Services through established relationships/partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, Aboriginal People and Communities. Your strong interpersonal skills will allow you to create mutually beneficial relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, your innovative nature will compliment you through the development of a new role and framework.
