About the role

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading and developing teams within our Bethshan Gardens residential aged care facility located in the beautiful township of Wyee in the Lake Macquarie Region of New South Wales. In this role you will provide the highest quality Aged Care Services that are consistent with BaptistCares’ Purpose and Values, so that the organisations Aged Care Services meet our customers’ needs and the quality of service is recognised as setting industry standards. You’ll lead staff and manage resources efficiently to ensure the highest quality of life for our residents.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Monitor and evaluate budget plans, income and outgoings through regular review of financial and other reports and implement actions to rectify any variance
  • Ensure facility meets all governance requirements as per The Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Lead and support a culture at the facility that reflects BaptistCares’ Purpose and Values
  • Ensuring strong relationships and effective communication is maintained with customers, their families, local community, government departments, referrers, discharge planners, allied health representatives and other key stakeholders

About you

To be successful, you will have the following:

  • Current unrestricted APRHA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Min 3-5 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in Aged Care/Aged Care management
  • Demonstrated hands on experience in meeting relevant government and statutory requirements
  • Working knowledge and experience in meeting accreditation and other Aged Care audit standards including implementation of actions to improve outcomes for a medium Residential Aged Care facility
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and monitoring budgets that align with agreed KPIs
  • Ability to balance strategic organisational objectives with high quality clinical outcomes
  • Highly developed interpersonal and team leadership skills
