About the role

We have an exciting new role in our Fundraising team for an innovative and experienced Partnerships Coordinator to develop, implement and lead strategic partnerships with trusts, foundations and corporate partners to fund Baptcare's charitable activities.

This position works collaboratively with the Donors Coordinator and colleagues who manage the individual programs that seek funding. It reports to the Head of Mission Development and Communications. The Partnerships Coordinator will work in close collaboration with other members of the Mission Development Team and build effective relationships with other staff across the broader organisation.

The successful applicant will possess five to seven years' experience in managing diverse high value relationships with trusts, foundations and corporate partners in the not-for-profit sector, and a proven track record of successfully attracting funds from these stakeholders. You will require highly developed influencing and written communication skills to craft compelling grant applications to achieve Baptcare's fundraising goals.

Key outcomes

  • Establish and lead the cultivation and solicitation of trusts, foundations, and corporate partners
  • Coordinate the preparation of grant applications in collaboration with Baptcare Teams seeking funding and lead the drafting and submission of grant documents
  • Contribute to the formation and implementation of the fundraising plan
  • Timely and accurate reporting of fundraising activities, by donor type and relationship, including accurate data management in Raiser's Edge (Grant/Donor Management Software)
  • Management of grant application timelines and compelling acquittal to all grants received in conjunction with program colleagues
  • Transparent and timely completion of Baptcare's Community Engagement Grant Process

Skills and experience

  • Five to seven years' experience in managing diverse high value relationships with trusts, foundations and corporates.
  • Proven track record of success in attracting funding from trusts, foundations and corporates.
  • Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Extensive experience in prospective grant research, cultivation and grant application preparation.
  • Excellent interpersonal presentation and communication skills with a strategic approach, including the proven ability to be able to "make the ask."
  • The ability to work collaboratively and independently while remaining flexible.
  • Demonstrated experience in building trustee relationships, and successfully acquit for grants received.
  • Capacity to work independently from home on a regular basis.
  • An understanding of Baptist culture and a commitment to demonstrate and display Baptcare's mission and values.
