Ballarat Hospice Care Inc. (BHCI) is a home-based palliative care service, caring for people living with a life limiting illness and supporting their family and carers. BHCI staff and volunteers work within our values framework which focus on loyalty, honesty, trust, willingness, kindness, respect and skill.

We are currently seeking two suitability qualified and experienced professionals to undertake the role of Supportive Care Advisors. Working closely with the Supportive Care Coordinator and the broader palliative care team, these roles are part time (0.8 FTE) and permanent ongoing.

The roles will require you to have:

• a genuine interest in working within this sector and be comfortable with death and dying
• highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, emotional maturity and professionalism
• a collaborative approach to working effectively within our multidisciplinary team and
• a good understanding of community support systems available to people requiring care in their own home
