The Community Engagement team are looking for a leader who is passionate about volunteering, able to work with dedicated members of our community to support our healthcare professionals.

Are you ready to provide successful guidance, management and development to our volunteer program? Are you strategic, used to working to targets, driven by outcomes, with excellent people and communication skills?

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver development and support to the Volunteer team leaders and staff
  • Performance management, coaching, skills assessment, and recruitment
  • Strategise business improvement and efficiencies
  • Review and implement policies and procedures.
  • Manage and mentor staff and volunteers.

Key Selection Criteria:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification in business administration, community development or similar would be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in volunteer recruitment and management would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience as a volunteer would be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in program development is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in computer applications and data base management is essential.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills

  • Sound understanding of principles of volunteering.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a diverse team.
  • Understanding of the National standards for volunteer involvement, Equal Opportunity legislation and other relevant legislation.
  • Skilled at presenting to large groups of people.
