FEMALE, ABORIGINAL-IDENTIFIED POSITION. We are looking for someone amazing: a deadly Aboriginal person who is available to work for about 23 hours per week and provide practical support to three different programs throughout NSW school term 2 and what's left of term 1.
The three programs are: the Kurung Homework Club, which meets after school on Tuesdays; Wirringa and Booris, our program for young mums and their accompanying preschool children, which meets during the school day on Wednesdays; and “Speak Up Sis”, our program for teenage girls, which meets after school on Thursdays and runs until 7.30 p.m.
Baabayn Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal-led community that values culture and connectedness. We are looking for a friendly, approachable, sensitive “people person” who will not just do essential tasks like driving a twelve-seater bus but also be a positive, culturally attuned contributor and role model during the weekly termtime sessions of all three programs.
Part-time, 3 days per week fixed-term position.
Role title: Program Support Worker
Available from 1 March 2021; funded until late June 2021.
We are looking to recruit at Level 3 on the SCHCADS scale.
The minimum qualifications and core competencies we will require you to demonstrate in your written application and/or at interview
