Marketing & Fundraising Manager

Animal Welfare League NSW
  • Full Time Permanent Role
  • Western Sydney

About us

The Animal Welfare League NSW has been looking after animals in our State for over 60 years. We are committed to rescuing abused animals, surrendered animals, and animals affected by disasters and emergencies. This is important work and relies on dedicated people who share our passions and determination to look after the most vulnerable, return them to health and find them long term permanent homes. We are committed to ‘Getting to Zero’ for all healthy animals.

With the only Mobile Vet Clinic in NSW we do this not only at our home in Western Sydney but also in the field, responding to bush fires, floods and other disasters that cause devastating impacts to our domestic and native animals alike.

About the role

We now seek a Marketing Manager to help us achieve our vision and mission by building, with the CEO and the leadership team, a strategic marketing plan that will best enable this. Focus is on building brand awareness across the State and beyond, engaging with high-net worth individuals, corporates, our members and the public, to ensure that we have the funds to realise our ambitions in support of vulnerable animals.

You have experience building and executing marketing plans, leading a small team of dedicated people, and working collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines whose help will be crucial to delivering successful outcomes. Equally, you have the networks that will open doors to building a strong fundraising platform, and the imagination and creativity to engage them fully in our mission. Your past successes will attest to these abilities.

We have new premises close to Penrith as an office base, but you will need to travel frequently to our home base in Kemps Creek, occasionally to our Branches throughout the State to engage them and support them in various initiatives, and of course to meet existing and potential donors and supporters of our work. Therefore, a willingness to travel, a driving licence and a reliable vehicle are essential.

If you share a love or animals and their welfare, and want to play a crucial part in our future, have the skills, experience and passion we seek, write to us with a cover letter explaining why we should meet you. Include your resume. As this is full time permanent role, only those with unrestricted work rights in Australia can be considered at this time.
