Technical Mentor Inclusive Development (Disability and Gender) (voluntary) - ChildFund - Remote

Australian Volunteers Program

About the assignment

We’re looking for a Technical Mentor for Inclusive Development (Disability and Gender) who can volunteer remotely (from home) for 3 months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development across East Asia.

About the Partner Organisation:

ChildFund has just had a new education inclusive project specialising in children with disabilities, however, they don’t have staff with technical skills in the disability field yet. To ensure the technical function, ChildFund has collaborated with ADCD – a disabled people’s organisation – to facilitate the technical service of this project. This is a new and difficult field for ChildFund therefore, they need a person who has deep knowledge about inclusive education in order to do monitoring and support activities for local partners and organisation partners that provide technical interventions.

About the Position:

  • You’ll be strengthening programming of ChildFund in Vietnam through improved organisational and partner capacity building that helps identify and integrate disability inclusion in the sector
  • You’ll need experience working with children with disabilities in the community and good understanding of the theory and methodology of community development programs
  • You’ll gain the opportunity to support the implementation of disability focused programs with ChildFund in Vietnam

We actively support and encourage people of all backgrounds and abilities to volunteer internationally and aim to make the program as accessible and inclusive as possible. - Find out more
