The Government of Myanmar requests the support of Australian volunteer to Environmental Conservation Department and its delivery partner, Global Green Growth Institute, to support the implementation of the GCF funded Green Cities Readiness project. Regional and city governments expressed particular interest in gaining expertise in all aspects of Solid Waste Management and circular economy value chain development. Subject matter specialists are limited in Myanmar and assistance is needed to supporting the building of in-house expertise in sustainable municipal solid waste management and sanitation, drawing on best-practices from an international perspective.

  • You'll support the assessment of solid waste management challenges and potential policy and technical interventions at all stages of the value chain
  • You'll need previous experience in solid waste management, excellent knowledge of green growth principles and green city development particularly related to sanitation and municipal waste management
  • You'll gain the opportunity to minimise environmental impacts in Myanmar
