About the assignment

Kanlong Foundation caters to children, youth, and adults with special needs by offering programs across the life-span from early childhood to pre-employment. Kanlong hopes to transcend a spectrum of limitation to unlimited possibilities by providing programs and different kinds of intervention and support for children, youth, and adults with special needs. With this, a volunteer is requested to assist Kanlong Foundation in improving its speech therapy program and increasing the capacity of staff in international best practices in speech therapy and case and program management. This will equip the staff with additional knowledge and skills necessary to do and give their best work for the children, youth, and adults with special needs. The role will entail assessment, resource writing, and capacity building. Collaborative learning could also take place during case and program management as well as developing and enriching effective programs, procedures, and techniques in managing children, youth and adults with special needs. You will be helping Kanlong Foundation build a better and brighter future for the special needs community here in the Philippines.

  • In this role, you will mentor staff in effective speech therapy techniques for online and face-to-face teaching
  • To be successful you will need experience in speech therapy in an educational, center-based, community based or health setting
