About the assignment

We’re looking for a Paramedic Clinical Supervisor who can live and volunteer for 12 - 18 months in Vanuatu. 

  • This assignment seeks to continue provide expert advice and mentorship to local Ni-Vanuatu paramedics colleagues and ETMs to develop clinical skills, knowledge, and reporting.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need to be AHPRA registered Paramedic or Intensive/critical care paramedic with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience providing paramedic services, and some training/mentoring skills in paramedics.  
  • As a volunteer, you will support local colleagues to provide effective services including responding to emergency cases, providing pre-hospital clinical care, and aeromedical retrievals. 

About the Partner Organisation 

Vanuatu Emergency Services Association (VESA) is a non-government organisation (NGO) incorporated locally as a charitable association. VESA operates ProMedical Vanuatu an advanced life support ambulance service on the islands of Efate and Espiritu Santo. ProMedical Vanuatu mission is to deliver affordable, high-level pre-hospital care and strengthen the Vanuatu health services by empowering and training local Ni-Vanuatu Paramedics and EMTs.

Allowance

We cover your flights, insurance, and provide a living and accommodation allowance.
AUD$ 3 686 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

Additional requirements for this assignment include Working with children checkPractitioner Certificate of Registration.
