The Australian Volunteers Program is an Australian government funded initiative that has placed skilled volunteers overseas for over 60 years. Our volunteer assignments are driven by local objectives and needs of our partner organisations, located in 26 countries across Indo-Pacific.

As an Australian volunteer, we will support you by providing return airfares, living and accommodation allowances, health and security support, pre-departure and in-country training, and support for partners and children as well as people living with a disability.

The organisation

The DRA is in the process of formulating legislation for the regulation of medical devices in Bhutan. To develop comprehensive legislation, assistance is required from an industry expert who has a wide range of experiences in the area of medical device regulation and manufacture to support the division in developing policies, regulation and guidelines for marketing authorization of medical devices in Bhutan. Currently, no such expertise is available in the country as all medical devices are imported.

The Role

  • You'll be assisting with the development of regulations for medical services and guidelines for marketing authorization of medical devices
  • You'll need demonstrated experience in work related to the regulation of medical devices and bio-medical equipment
  • You'll gain the opportunity to involved in the regulation of medical devices in the Medicines Act of Bhutan
