About the Partner Organisation: 

Many nurses and nurse educators in Bhutan take informal leadership roles throughout their careers. Nurse leaders play a critical role in nursing education and practice of leading initiatives that improve nursing practices and outcomes. As nurse leaders, we become increasingly aware of the correlation between a stronger team and stronger achievements in patient quality and safety to liaise with policy makers and other relevant stakeholders in making decisions related to the nursing and midwifery workforce. Nurse leaders rely on their ability to motivate and inspire nursing teams and staff in the development of high-quality practices and patient care methodologies. Effective leadership skills of midwife and nurse managers positively impact on midwife and nurse retention; service provision; and can reduce psychological distress (As per strategic directions for Nursing and Midwifery 2021 to 2025). Leadership is one of the four strategic directions in Global Strategic directions for Nursing and Midwifery, 2021 to 2025. With an Australian volunteer, we hope to build capacity and strengthen the leadership knowledge and skills of the clinical nurses and nurse educators of the country

About the Position:

• You’ll be exchanging skills and knowledge on medical device regulation including providing an overview on medical device standards used internationally.
• Background, knowledge and experience in the regulation of medical devices is required
• You’ll gain an incredible opportunity to gain new skills and to contribute to making sustainable changes across Bhutan
