Save the Children is a worldwide, non-religious, non-financial, non-political and independent children’s rights organisation that protects and promotes children’s rights in over 120 countries. The organization is realigning to support target communities in the 'new normal' during and after the COVID19 pandemic. New sources of support are needed to build up and secure the funds for project implementation for child protection, education and health. A dynamic person is needed, with skills to proactively explore opportunities to secure funding and mentor SCJM colleagues to maintain these relationships through donor compliance and finding new opportunities. The volunteer will work on new business and proposal development by seeking funding opportunities for both development and humanitarian contexts, as well as support for and strengthening capacities in Country Office.

• You’ll be identifying potential donor partners as well as assisting with the development of grant projects and budget proposals, training local staff in the process
• You’ll need experience in proposal writing and development, implementation of development projects and good knowledge of fundraising techniques
• You’ll gain the opportunity to enhance funding for children who’s education and health have been impacted by COVID-19 

The Partner Organisation’s preference for this role is full-time (25h per week or more) - Federal Police Check must be completed during application - Video response interview must be completed as part of this application
