The Australian Volunteers Program is an Australian government funded initiative that has placed skilled volunteers overseas for over 60 years. Our volunteer assignments are driven by local objectives and needs of our partner organisations, located in 26 countries across Indo-Pacific.
As an Australian volunteer, we will support you by providing return airfares, living and accommodation allowances, health and security support, pre-departure and in-country training, and support for partners and children as well as people living with a disability.
Encouraged by the response for the Tanzania Project for Rural Enterprises Support Services (T-Press), founding members with the support of a few of their associates and advisors, decided to create a "Social Enterprise" to promote the use of efficient labour-intensive technologies, and in November 1995 the Kampuni ya Kusambaza Teknolojia (KAKUTE) was born
The most critical element of the organisation’s operation at the moment is the ongoing funding of the organisation.
With very limited human resources and limited sources of funding within the country, the organisation needs assistance to write effective grant applications aimed at international foundations/donors. The organisation will also needs systems and procedures for tracking proposals and the implementation of successful grants. It is expected that the volunteer can assist with building the organisation’s profile for the public, donors as well as other international organisations supporting incubation of local entrepreneurs.
