Remote / Work from Home
We’re looking for a Disability Inclusive Officer who can volunteer remotely (from home) for 3 months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development in the Pacific region.
Tennis Fiji is the national sporting organisation responsible for the development of all tennis related activities in Fiji. Tennis Fiji's vision, mission and purpose is to use sport for development. Their main activities are outreach programs (which are sometimes held in conjunction with Fiji National Sports Council), community programs including gender specific, primary school’s programs and national development programs specifically for squad players. Tennis Fiji is developing the sport to be an inclusive program expanding into schools for children living with disabilities and encourage participation in mainstream development and sporting activities. Tennis Fiji wishes to further develop and strengthen the Disability Development Program in Fiji. It is challenging to source the skillset required locally therefore they are seeking a remote volunteer to assist with capacity development and training for staff and volunteers. The assignment will ensure programs are inclusive for those with disabilities and in compliance with child safeguarding policies. This role is expected to host and facilitate training sessions via Zoom and provide training resources for the staff and volunteers consistently throughout the 12 weeks engagement.
We actively support and encourage people of all backgrounds and abilities to volunteer internationally and aim to make the program as accessible and inclusive as possible. - Find out more
