CushCush Gallery (CCG) started in July 2016, as an addition to CushCush family. It is conceived as a platform for creative collaborations in contemporary art + design, and is an alternative gallery that embraces interactions and celebrates multi-disciplinary creativity through explorations of intersections of art, design, materiality, techniques and crafts.

Architect/designer Jindee Chua and Suriawati Qiu, both Australian alumni and founders of CushCush, had envisioned CCG as a little oasis within the hectic Denpasar city of Bali. CCG consists of a main gallery space with 3 smaller studio spaces that can support a wide variety of creative and art programs, as well as a space for showcasing artworks and limited-edition design objects and furniture.

Due to its not-for-profit programs that focus in community engagement projects and its vision of building a good creative eco-system in Denpasar and in Bali, CCG need specialised and qualified professionals who can help to put down a blue-print and train our local employee for successful and sustainable organisation structuring. There are digital marketing professionals in Bali but they are young and do not have much experience in the field of a creative platform like CushCush Gallery.

ABout the role

• This role will require the volunteer to develop digital marketing strategies that can be put to use by the gallery over time.
• Experience in branding and web development will be crucial in succeeding in this role
• Understanding of Indonesian culture and experience within an arts/creative field will be beneficial
