About the assignment

We’re looking for a Clinical Supervisor Mentor  who can live and volunteer for 6 months in Fiji.

• This assignment seeks to support and mentor the clinical skills supervisor in their roles of implementing recovery-based pathways to mental health and wellness, helping build out and lead a growing multidisciplinary team.
• To be considered for this role, you’ll need to be an AHPRA Registered or a Clinical Psychologist with at least 5 years in client-facing therapy with supervisory experience.
• You will be working alongside [a marketing officer, government officials, a small team].
• As a volunteer, you will assist with training to the team on various client care pathways using various therapies and the PERMA model.

About the Partner Organisation 

BIRTH Fiji is a women-led non-government organisation that provides essential mental health services free of charge to vulnerable and isolated clients. Since 2023 the organisation dedicated significant time to creating and implementing Standard Operating Practices across our clinic service activities, enhancing the credibility and quality of our services. The next step towards strengthening the service provided is to train and upskill the (now growing) women-led team to be able to provide a high quality of service in the area of Mental Health Recovery Based Case Management.

We are seeking an Australian volunteer who can mentor the staff and volunteers to have professional supervision support, trainings and strengthening of the work of our organisation.

Allowance

We cover your flights, insurance, and provide a living and accommodation allowance.
AUD$2153 per month.

Requirements

• All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
• A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
• A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.
