About the Role

Based at Autism Queensland's Cairns Centre, casual relief opportunities are available to work as part of a dynamic trans-disciplinary  team teaching young children with a diagnosis of autism.

This role offers diversity and tremendous professional development opportunities in the design, implementation and delivery of programs for children and their families.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in education e.g. early childhood or primary education
  • Full registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
  • Demonstrated experience with primary or preschool aged children on the autism spectrum and/or special needs 
  • Proven ability to work effectively with families and collaboratively within a trans-disciplinary team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
