About the Role

Are you an experienced office all-rounder looking for your next challenge in a busy early education and therapy services setting? In which case, this may be the opportunity for you!

This role within our AQ Mackay team will have responsibility for a variety of functions and support a multi-disciplinary team consisting of a Team Leader, Teachers, Teacher Aides, and Allied Health Professionals.

This position will be offered on a fixed-term full-time basis for 6 months, business hours are approximately 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Prepare and maintain NDIS client service delivery records
  • Prepare program documentation for clients
  • Collect and process mail and coordinate stock-take and purchase of office supplies
  • Respond to in-person, telephone, email and written enquiries and prepare correspondence as required
  • Update and maintain client databases
  • Maintain therapists’ schedules on Cliniko, managing cancellations as required
  • Apply and maintain Covid-19 hygiene standards and policy – temperature checking, checklists, disinfecting between clients etc.
  • Provide reception and day to day administrative support to the Mackay team and Manager as directed

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative role
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Proven time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements

Highly regarded:

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration 
  • Experience working with the NDIS
  • Database experience
  • Administrative experience in the NFP sector

Special Conditions:

  • It is the responsibility of the employee to hold and maintain at their own expense, a current Criminal History Screening Card/s or relevant Exemption Card (Blue and Yellow Cards)
  • Certificate of Completion in NDIS Workers Orientation Module “Quality Safety and You”
