Case Manager, Sexual Misconduct

Australian National University

The Student and University Experience Portfolio provides leadership of the University’s strategic initiatives that promote student and staff equity, Indigenous Reconciliation and improve the quality of the student experience at the Australian National University. We are seeking new staff to take a pivotal role in contributing to the University’s commitment to creating a safe and healthy place for all students and staff at ANU.

This role sits within the newly established team in the Division of University Experience. The team supports students experiencing challenging times and high levels of stress, providing support across three streams: wellbeing and welfare, mental health and sexual misconduct.

They contribute to the monitoring and responding to disclosures of sexual assault and sexual harassment, they contribute to sexual violence prevention activities, the development of policies and procedures, provision of training programs and meeting ANU reporting requirements.

The Case Manager specialises in supporting students and staff who have experienced sexual misconduct, and are seeking support, guidance and advice. The role focuses on providing secondary interventions and timely support, including establishing safe making plans, and advising clients of options for reporting and support, both internal and external to the University. You will be part of a small team, providing a centralised and coordinated support avenue to members of the ANU community.

The role is highly rewarding, supporting clients at a time of confusion to find the best pathway for them, so experience in a survivor led and trauma informed practice will be highly regarded. Taking a collaborative across the ANU, the role will work closely with the Respectful Relationships Unit, Registrar and Residential Experience to support clients.
