    About us

Our purpose is to prevent and minimise harm from alcohol and other drugs across Australia.

Celebrating nearly 60 years of service to the community, the Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF), is a leading national organisation committed to guiding and supporting community led action.

The ADF's work reaches millions of people in local communities through sporting clubs, community groups, health organisations and schools, offering educational information, drug and alcohol prevention programs. Proudly independent, we build strong alliances that help deliver positive outcomes and strengthen our collective impact. Our approach is reflected in our organisational culture of collaboration and innovation.

    About the role

You can expect to be working with councils, leagues and associations to promote Good Sports and our prevention programs across the state of Victoria. You will be a key contributor to the Canberra teams objectives. Our aim is to build resilience and strengthen capacity within our communities to reduce alcohol and other drug related harm.

Your day could consist of supporting communities to plan and implement local approaches to preventing alcohol and other drug related harms, a meeting with a sporting club or community group, before heading back to the office to undertake administration, updating our CRM Salesforce and managing your stakeholders from afar and in person. You might be attending or presenting at a community forum that is jam packed with lots of stakeholder engagement and you will use our technologies to help engage your audience.

The role requires someone who is a confident presenter and networker, a self-starter, energetic and has the flexibility to work some evenings and occasional weekends.  Top notch communication skills are a must.

Your working environment is extremely collaborative, and your colleagues are passionate and committed to help our communities build their capacity to minimise harm from alcohol and other drugs.  You will be at the forefront of working towards making change at a community level.

Please note: Due to the location of communities and sporting clubs it is likely that some intrastate travel will be required.
