1 Million Women is a Not-for-Profit organisation, empowering women and girls from across the planet to act on climate change through the way they live and through the choices they make every single day.

We are seeking a digitally savvy Marketplace assistant to join our 1 Million Women LoveEarth Marketplace team. As part of the Jobmaker scheme, we are looking for someone who has been receiving unemployment benefits for a minimum of 6 weeks. See eligibility below.

Our recently launched online LoveEarth Marketplace is a new venture for 1 Million Women. It showcases the brands and organisations we love and those that we believe are providing solutions to help us live with the least impact on the planet in every aspect of our lives including waste-free home living, ethical financial institutions, courses, services, experiences, community groups and more.

Our Marketplace embraces the love of Earth, a theme dear to our hearts at 1 Million Women. It is a one-stop destination to help us all live the most ethical and ecological, community-driven, earth-loving life possible.

The Marketplace Assistant will work closely with our Marketplace sales coordinator and our COO and is responsible for:

• Uploading products and vendor information to our Marketplace website back end.

• Troubleshooting issues as they arise

• Liaising with our marketplace vendors

• Managing the collection of assets from vendors

• Working with third-party apps to help troubleshoot issues and make improvements to the marketplace

• Monitoring website analytics and conducting testing

About you:

• You have excellent organisational skills

• You enjoy working independently and managing projects with many moving parts

• You have strong attention to detail

• You’re digitally savvy and a keen problem solver

Preferred, but not necessary:

• Experience with e-commerce backends (eg. Shopify)

We’re looking for someone that walks the walk when it comes to living sustainably (this will make it easier for you to talk the talk!).

This is a part-time position (3 days per week – 21 hours)

The role is Sydney-based or can work remotely for the right person.

1 Million Women can’t supply laptops for staff so you will be using your own laptop.
