The Australian Childhood Foundation has a strong reputation for delivery of clinical services, professional training and secondary consultation programs built upon up to date, evidence-based theoretical frameworks including the neurobiology of trauma, attachment and relational theories and child development.

The key role of the Recruitment Officer is to work across the Foundation to support its ability to attract, retain, develop and manage highly engaged and committed workforce.

The Recruitment Officer will be responsible for a variety of recruitment and onboarding tasks including, writing and advertising positions on relevant jobs boards, shortlisting of applicants, schedule and attending face to face and online interviews, conducting reference checks, and processing compliance documentation including national police checks. The Recruitment Officer will also have the opportunity to negotiate employment offers and onboarding for successful candidates.

The Recruitment Officer will drive the Recruit Module of the Foundations newly implemented Human Resources Information System (HRIS) – Sage People.

About You - Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar HR administration or internal recruitment role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in coordinating the end to end recruitment practices.
  • Previous experience using a HRIS, preferably Sage People.
  • A comprehensive understanding of contemporary HR and recruitment practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative approach with a focus on building strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A high degree of professional and personal ethics.
  • Commitment to upholding the privacy and confidentiality rights of applicants and employees.
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict timeframes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to providing an excellent service experience to all stakeholders.
  • A positive and motivated self-start who can work well in both a team environment as well as autonomously.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • A current Victorian driver’s licence or equivalent.

Remuneration & Benefits:
