About the role

Red Cross has a number of volunteering safeguards in place to keep our people and the communities we work with safe. These include screening checks, training, policies, and procedures.

In this new role, you will work closely with stakeholders to lead the uplift and monitoring of our volunteering safeguarding and compliance across the organisation.

You will also be responsible for the regular review and updates of policies and relevant procedures ensuring they reflect the organisation’s needs, practices, and alignment with our strategy.

You will work collaboratively with the Volunteering Operations team, People and Culture, Legal, Child Protection and Risk to achieve ongoing compliance.

What you will bring

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitation and collaboration across diverse stakeholders
• Clear, consistent, and effective communications to facilitate outcomes across the organisation is essential
• Proven ability to constructively work through issues to achieve solutions
• Human Resources background with experience in policy development preferred
• Experience leading complex projects designed to achieve business outcomes
