About the role

This role will be responsible for coordinating a national program that aims to address the psychosocial impacts of drought in four states across Australia, within its current contract period (completion end June 2021). The role will also be responsible for facilitating planning, design and coordination of future programming beyond June 2021. The role works with a range of internal and external state and national stakeholders and has direct line management of a senior project officer.

What you will bring:

  • High level understanding of and experience in emergency management, particularly in community resilience building practices
  • Highly developed organisational skills with a proven ability to determine priorities and deliver outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience of program design and development, including planning, needs assessment, budget management, monitoring and evaluation, within a cross-jurisdictional team
  • Demonstrated experience in high level project management and implementation of projects within a multisite organisation with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
