About the role

As the Head of Risk and Compliance you will manage an Australian Red Cross enterprise wide system of risk management and corporate quality assurance. You will be responsible for enterprise risk identification, analysis, evaluation, prioritisation and mitigation. You will also lead the enterprise frameworks across compliance management for all programs, services and functions of Australian Red Cross.

What you will bring

  • Significant experience managing risk and compliance obligations in a complex and diverse organisation
  • Strong strategic focus, understanding of strategic risks including principles and practices of Risk Management and the ISO31000
  • Solid understanding of fraud risk management and fraud controls
  • Demonstrated understanding of legislation and ability to provide advice on the suitability of contracts in relation to risk
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills, negotiation and consultation skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Masters Degree in Risk Management, Insurance or Business Administration
