Australian Red Cross is part of the largest humanitarian movement in the world seeking to build a better society based on people helping people. 

The Secretariat coordinate the management and distribution of the Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund to support nationwide bushfire recovery in the aftermath of the 2019-20 Australian Bushfires.

About the role

You will provide case management support and lead the team on a daily basis as well as oversight of the end-to-end customer experience related to processing applications through the Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.

You will also ensure compliance with current legislative, policy and business rule guidelines, which reduce or remove risk, reputational impact or financial loss to the organisation.

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience in client case management, assessment and grant approval processes
  • Track record in supporting and leading teams
  • Strong administrative experience with high volume transactions
  • Effective communication with a broad range of people and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage complex and sensitive issues
  • Experience in mapping business processes and interdependencies through effective consultation and feedback
  • Experience in implementing organisational policies and contractual requirements relevant to the sector
